Relationship Between Patellar Position and Knee Range of Motion Among Young Adults

Abstract

The study examines the relationship between patellar position and knee range of motion among young adults. The patella plays an important role in the biomechanics and movement of the knee joint, while its position may influence the mechanical alignment and functional movement of the lower limb. Understanding the relationship between patellar position and knee mobility may provide useful information on normal anatomical variation and functional characteristics of the knee among young adults. The study will specifically assess patellar position among the participants and determine the range of motion of the knee joint. Patellar position will be evaluated using appropriate standardized anatomical landmarks and procedures, while knee range of motion will be assessed through standardized flexion and extension measurements. The study will also determine whether measurable associations exist between variations in patellar position and knee range of motion. A cross-sectional descriptive research design will be adopted for the study.
