Abstract
Cyber insurance provides financial protection against losses arising from cyberattacks, data breaches, ransomware, system disruptions, and other digital security incidents. The frequency of cyberattacks is an important consideration in assessing cyber insurance risk because repeated incidents can increase the likelihood of claims and the expected financial cost to insurers. Changes in cyberattack frequency may therefore influence the premium rates charged for cyber insurance coverage. This study examines the effect of cyberattack frequency on cyber insurance premium rates. It will investigate how variations in the occurrence of cyberattacks influence the determination of insurance premiums and the expected losses associated with cyber insurance policies. The study will consider different levels of cyberattack frequency and assess their implications for cyber risk pricing.
