Abstract

The study examines bilateral variation in the dimensions of paired abdominal organs among young adults, with emphasis on differences between the right and left sides. Paired abdominal organs, particularly the kidneys, exhibit anatomical relationships and dimensional characteristics that may vary between individuals and between corresponding sides. Knowledge of such bilateral variation is important for understanding normal visceral anatomy, interpreting diagnostic images, and distinguishing expected anatomical differences from findings that may require further clinical evaluation. The study will assess selected dimensions of paired abdominal organs among young adults using appropriate standardized anatomical and imaging-based measurement procedures. The specific objectives will include determining the selected dimensions of the paired organs, comparing corresponding measurements between the right and left sides, identifying the extent of bilateral variation, and documenting the frequency and pattern of side-related differences among the participants. A cross-sectional descriptive research design will be adopted for the study.
