The study will focus on the identification and classification of selected palmar crease patterns   Including the normal three-crease pattern and other recognized variations such as simian and Sydney patterns. The presence and distribution of these patterns will be assessed among the study participants to determine their frequency within the selected undergraduate population. The assessment will provide quantitative information on palmar crease variation among young adults. A cross-sectional descriptive research design will be adopted for the study. The study population will comprise selected undergraduate students who will be recruited using an appropriate sampling technique. Palmar crease patterns will be examined through direct observation of the palms using standardized anatomical criteria and appropriate documentation procedures. The collected data will be analyzed using frequency and percentage to determine the prevalence and distribution of the different palmar crease patterns   While an appropriate inferential statistical technique may be used to examine their distribution across relevant participant characteristics. The study is expected to reveal variations in the occurrence of different palmar crease patterns among undergraduate students.
