Abstract
The study examines the correlation between palmar crease patterns and hand dominance among undergraduate students. Palmar creases are distinct anatomical features formed during early development and maintained throughout life, while hand dominance reflects the preferential use of one hand for various functional activities. Examining the relationship between these characteristics may provide useful information on the association between dermatoglyphic features and functional hand preference among young adults. The study will assess the major palmar crease patterns and determine hand dominance among the participants. Palmar crease patterns will be examined through standardized palm-print or direct palmar assessment procedures, with attention given to the presence and configuration of major palmar creases.
