Abstract
The study will examine sexual dimorphism in dermatoglyphic characteristics among undergraduate students, with emphasis on differences in fingerprint and palm print features between male and female participants. Dermatoglyphic characteristics are formed during fetal development and remain relatively stable throughout life, making them useful anatomical features for studying human variation. Examining their distribution according to sex may provide useful information on dermatoglyphic variation among young adults. The study will focus on selected dermatoglyphic characteristics, including fingerprint pattern types, ridge counts, and relevant palmar features among male and female undergraduate students. Finger and palm impressions will be obtained using standardized procedures, and the recorded patterns will be classified according to established dermatoglyphic criteria.
