ABSTRACT
Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by impaired glucose absorption and intestinal epithelial cell function. Cisampelous owanrensisis benzene fraction has been traditionally used to treat diabetes, but its effects on glucose absorption and intestinal epithelial cell function are not well understood. To investigate the effects of Cisampelous owanrensisis benzene fraction on glucose absorption and intestinal epithelial cell function in Wistar rats with alloxan-induced diabetes. Thirty Wistar rats were divided into three groups: control, diabetes, and diabetes treated with Cisampelous owanrensisis benzene fraction. Glucose absorption and intestinal epithelial cell function were assessed using standard methods. Cisampelous owanrensisis benzene fraction significantly enhanced glucose absorption and intestinal epithelial cell function in diabetic rats compared to the control group.
