These experiences can help adults understand the symptoms, possible causes, and basic troubleshooting procedures associated with common computer faults. Adults’ understanding of common computer faults refers to their ability to identify, describe, and explain common computer problems, their possible causes, and appropriate basic troubleshooting procedures. This may include understanding hardware-related problems, software errors, power-related issues, peripheral-device faults, performance problems, and basic connectivity difficulties. Adult education can strengthen this understanding by combining relevant explanations with practical activities that enable adults to observe common faults and apply appropriate troubleshooting procedures. The study will adopt a suitable descriptive survey research design. Data collected will be analysed using relevant descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to determine the effect of adult education on adults’ understanding of common computer faults. The study is expected to establish that adult education can improve adults’ understanding of common computer faults. Adults exposed to structured learning are expected to demonstrate better understanding of fault identification, possible causes, troubleshooting procedures, hardware problems, software errors, peripheral-device issues, and basic connectivity difficulties. The findings may also indicate that practical demonstrations and guided troubleshooting activities enhance adults’ ability to recognize common computer faults and respond appropriately to basic problems. The study will conclude that adult education can provide an effective means of improving adults’ understanding of common computer faults. It will recommend that adult education programmes incorporate practical demonstrations, computer-based troubleshooting exercises, fault-identification activities, and opportunities for guided practice. Improved understanding of common computer faults may contribute to greater digital competence, effective computer use, reduced dependence on others for basic troubleshooting, employability, self-reliance, and improved participation in technology-related activities
